Hey, thanks for taking the time to check out the KidzFlip website. There’s lots of information here about who and what KidzFlip is, but if you have any more questions please feel free to contact us.
KidzFlip is a local organisation made up of a group of volunteers who want to create ways in which young people can connect with each other and the community in a fun way. Our most exciting venture each year is being involved in the Energy Breakthrough Challenge, where you get to compete in a 24 hour team race in a state of the art human powered cart! All we expect of young people involved is that they commit to the program, which may involve physical training and involvement in fund raising and other events during the year.
The kids involved generally range from the late primary to late secondary school age and attend local Macedon Ranges schools. The activities run throughout the year vary depending on who’s involved and what their needs are. If racing a cart is not your thing, never fear there are plenty of other activities that we can get going – we’re more than happy to take on the ideas of young people involved in the program.
Our mentors and committee members are from all walks of life and they are committed to helping young people reach their goals. This is achieved by having a positive relationship with our community, including local police, health care professionals and schools. We value young people and want to provide you with opportunities to be your best!
If you are still unsure and have more questions, please let us know. We can even get you in touch with young people who are now involved with KidzFlip or who have been in the past to hear straight from them what we are about.
