Wow, as we are hearing everywhere we go, 2020 has really been one for the history books! After coming off a massive high in our first ever Team KidzFlip Breakthrough Challenge, little did we realise there would be a bigger challenge awaiting us just around the corner. Our young people have dealt with home schooling, an extended break from sports, live performances, access to libraries and community activities such as sausage sizzles and fitness programs offered here at KidzFlip. Our committee and volunteers also found themselves in unfamiliar territory, being able to spend more time with family, while other’s work loads increased and some of us were schooling kids at home. If anything, I think this pandemic has taught us the importance of time and that balance is the key to a happy life. With this in mind, as we head into COVID normal, we look forward to kickstarting our programs in a safe and accessible environment and can’t wait to ‘get the band back together’!
